The first Revera Vinum Galician Wine Meeting will bring together all the protected designations of origin and geographical indications of Galicia in March.
Santiago de Compostela will host next March an unmissable event for wine lovers. The heads of the Compostela Hotel and Catering Association, an organisation that brings together more than 600 establishments in the Galician capital, are already working on the organisation of the first meeting of Galician wine Revera Vinum, an event that they explain will be a pioneering event as it will be the first time that all the designations of origin (DO) and protected geographical indications (PXI) in this field that exist in Galicia have been brought together in the same event.
The San Francisco monument hotel will host the central activities of this meeting, scheduled for 22, 23 and 24 March, and with which its promoters intend to “publicise, promote and disseminate Galician wines among professionals in the sector, as well as among locals and those who visit Compostela, serving as a tourist attraction in the low season”.
The Compostela entity explains that this event will have the support of Galicia Tourism and has already advanced some details of its programme of activities. There will be presentations, round tables and tastings given by renowned experts from Galicia and Spain, such as Xurxo Alba, Paula Fandiño, Rafael Palacios, Luis and Alejandro Paadín, Alberto Varela and Salomé Beiroa. In addition, the programme will include parallel proposals beyond the walls of the San Francisco hotel, such as a wine route through the streets of Santiago de Compostela.
