Galicia is preparing to receive a new edition of the Tourist Trains, an initiative promoted by Renfe, Turismo de Galicia and the Ourensano Institute for Economic Development (INORDE) that allows you to discover the cultural, natural and gastronomic heritage of the community on board the railway. The proposal for 2025 includes 13 routes and 33 departures between March and October, with more than 2,500 places available for those who wish to live this unique experience.
One of the great attractions this year is the recovery of the routes through the Ribeira Sacra, with the Ribeira Sacra do Miño, Ribeira Sacra do Sil and Ribeira Sacra-Valdeorras routes, which return after several seasons out of service due to improvement work on the railway infrastructure.
A varied offer to explore Galicia by train
The new campaign offers a variety of itineraries that cross emblematic landscapes and enclaves of great cultural interest, such as the Lighthouse Route, the Rías Baixas Route, the Mosteiros Route or the O Ribeiro-Rías Baixas Route. In addition to the train journey, each experience includes official Galicia Tourism guides, complementary bus transfers and visits to the main points of interest on each tour.
Since its launch in 2013, more than 21,300 travelers have enjoyed this initiative, which combines the charm of the railway with the commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism. With this new edition, the Galician Tourist Trains continue to consolidate themselves as an original alternative to get to know the Galician territory in a comfortable and different way.
