Galician tourist trains are approaching this autumn to A Coruña, Lugo and Ourense after reaching 87% occupancy in summer

Lugo Romano’,’ Ourense thermal and shopping’ and Discovering’ A Coruña’ offer six outings with a tour that combines urban and cultural tourism with thermalism

After the good result of the tourist trains in the summer season, this week Tourism of Galicia announced autumn itineraries will allow participants to approach the A Coruña, Lugo and Ourense to enjoy the varied resources they have. These are the trains Lugo Romano, Ourense thermal and shopping and Descubriendo A Coruña, with departures scheduled for 30 September and 7,14,21 and 28 October depending on the route. Tickets can be purchased through the Renfe website and at stations, with prices of 40 euros for adults, 20 for children and group discounts. For the first time, locomotives do not stop at the end of the summer, but continue to be lit in September and October with new destinations and proposals with urban and shopping tourism, culture and thermal baths as the backbone,”explained Nava Castro, accompanied by the manager of Renfe’s Commercial Area and Customer Service, Javier Díaz Trisac, and the president of the Ourensano Institute of Economic Development (Inorde), Rosendo Fernández.

Until 28 October
In total, there will be six trips that complete the offer of about 60 outings that began in June and will therefore run for five months. The Lugo Romano train will depart from A Coruña (with free approaches from Santiago de Compostela) on 30 September and 28 October, and includes visits to the Casa de los Mosaicos and the World Heritage-listed Wall Interpretation Centre, as well as a stay in the Lugo Spa.
The Ourense thermal and shopping route has departures from Santiago de Compostela (from A Coruña and Vigo) and offers the possibility of a guided visit to the historic quarter and the Cathedral. After a time of strolling and shopping in the local shops and quality, participants will travel to Outariz thermal baths, to enjoy the properties of the waters of Europe’s second thermal potential.
Descubriendo A Coruña will depart from Santiago de Compostela on 30 September and 14 October (with approaches from Vigo and Ourense) and includes a tour of the promenade, stopping at Torre de Hércules, also a World Heritage Site. After a visit to the old city with Maria Pita square and the San Pedro mountain park, the trip will end at Termaria-Casa del agua, before starting back to the point of origin.
