Galicia’s Tourist Trains return in 2026 with a new edition. Sponsored by Renfe in collaboration with Turismo de Galicia and Inorde, the program will offer 13 themed itineraries between March and October, aimed at both visitors and locals.
Each route integrates train travel, guided tours, and experiences linked to the region, creating an offering that combines culture, nature, and food and wine with expert guidance.
The calendar includes established routes such as the Camellia in Bloom Route, the Lighthouse Route, tours of the Ribeira Sacra (Sil and Miño rivers), and the Monastery Route, along with experiences focused on wine (Rías Baixas, Ribeiro, Monterrei, and Valdeorras) and gastronomic products like the Galician Cheese Route.
Also noteworthy are itineraries that highlight historical and scenic heritage, such as the As Mariñas Route, the Route of Manor Houses and Historic Gardens, and the experience dedicated to MEGA and A Coruña in 1906, which introduces visitors to industrial tourism.
The tours will be offered throughout spring and summer, extending until early October. The first route available is the Camellia in Bloom, while the others will be added to the sales calendar gradually.
Tourist trains are becoming established as a tool for decentralizing tourism flows, enhancing the value of rural areas, and promoting Galician designations of origin, integrating transportation, local storytelling, and gastronomic experiences into a single package.
