The Xunta de Galicia reinforces the presence of the Galicia destination in the high-impact and excellence market

  • Turismo de Galicia participated last week in the conference organized in Milan.

Turismo de Galicia reaffirms its commitment to quality and seasonally adjusted tourism, seeking to attract travelers with high spending capacity. Last week, the agency participated in a conference in Milan with more than 20 operators specialized in this market.

 

With this action, the Xunta de Galicia advances in the positioning of Galicia as an attractive destination for market segments with high tourism impact, highlighting its numerous assets through experiences and services of excellence. Among the promotional actions, cultural and leisure attractions, cultural and gastronomic heritage, food and wine, historical gardens and high-level shopping options stand out. Galician heritage was specifically promoted, as well as products such as the wine and camellia route, the Ribeira Sacra and the coast and interior of Galicia.

 

This initiative is part of the Galician Tourism Agency’s commitment to continue strengthening the presence of international tourists, whose influx has been growing in the Community in recent years. Attracting travelers with high purchasing power, who make a significant number of trips per year and have a high spending capacity in the destination, is one of the immediate strategic objectives to combat tourist seasonality.

 

The day in Milan allowed us to strengthen contacts and continue defining strategies for market diversification. In recent months, Turismo de Galicia has also participated in events such as ‘Luxury Spain Connects with UK Luxury Agencies’ in London, the ILTM in Cannes and a specialized action in Berlin last April.
