The Xunta extends until December 9 the deadline to request energy efficiency aid in the tourism sector

  • The call is open to accommodation establishments and, for the first time, restaurants as well.

The Xunta de Galicia has extended until December 9 the deadline for companies in the tourism sector to access aid for improvements in energy efficiency. This call, endowed with 10 million euros financed with European funds, includes for the first time restaurant establishments, in addition to accommodation establishments.

Among the new features of this edition is the possibility of partially rehabilitating buildings, without the need for a minimum age or minimum energy savings to qualify for the subsidy. Likewise, actions such as the installation of photovoltaic systems for self-consumption, improvements in lighting, energy control systems, and the acquisition of high-efficiency appliances are covered.

Aid can reach up to 70% of the project cost, reaching 90% if significant reductions in non-renewable energy consumption are achieved. Expenditures must be executed before April 2025.

This call seeks to modernize the sector and strengthen its competitiveness, promoting sustainable and responsible practices in the Galician tourism field. Applications can be processed through the electronic headquarters of the Xunta de Galicia using the procedure code TU986B.
