Rías Baixas Wine Route increases its list of partners with the City Council of Barro

The president, Juan Gil de Araujo, and the mayor of Barro, Xosé Manuel Fernández, formalized today the agreement of adhesion by which the municipality of Pontevedra becomes part of this wine and turistic itinerary. Gil de Araujo was very pleased to “add a new associate to the Rías Baixas Wine Route. This means that there is interest in the work we are developing to promote our wide range of food and wine.

For his part, Xosé Manuel Fernández said that this agreement will help “to value the wine territory of the Barro and open the doors so that the wineries and establishments can develop their work in favor of wine tourism.” The regidor took the opportunity to invite the Ruta do Viño Rías Baixas to one of its most outstanding celebrations, the Festa do Viño de Barro, which will take place next month.

Thanks to this agreement, several establishments located in the municipality of Barro will also be able to join this non-profit association. “Therefore, the next step will be to meet with wineries and hotel and hotel companies to present our wine tourism project and process their possible adhesion,” said Juan Gil de Araujo. It should be remembered that those companies interested in joining the Rías Baixas wine route must first pass an audit that seeks to ensure that the facilities and services offered meet the minimum quality and visitor attendance requirements specified in the product manual Spain Wines Route.
