The Rías Baixas Wine Route, the first Wine Route in Spain to obtain the Q for Quality and S for Sustainability certifications from the ICTES

The Rías Baixas Wine Route has marked a milestone by becoming the first in Spain to receive the “Q” certifications for Tourism Quality and “S” for Sustainability, awarded by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE). This recognition reinforces its position as a leading wine tourism destination, combining excellence, authenticity and commitment to the environment.

 

The “Q” distinctive guarantees professional management, the quality of services and the satisfaction of visitors who enjoy this route, consolidating Rías Baixas as a benchmark in the sector. For its part, the “S” Sustainability certification highlights efforts to implement practices aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting responsible and ethical tourism that boosts local economies and respects the natural environment.

 

The Rías Baixas Wine Route is one of the entities that used the consulting service that the Galician Tourism Cluster makes available to tourism companies, with the aim of entities in the sector obtaining or maintaining ICTES certifications, and to simplify the process for interested tourism entities.
