Hotel profitability in Galicia reaches historic highs this summer

  • Galician hotels earned an average of €91.7 per occupied room and €59.8 per available room
  • Summer 2025 consolidates the trend of sustained growth in the Galician tourism sector

The profitability of the Galician hotel sector reached its best figures in its historical series during the summer of 2025, according to data published by Turismo de Galicia in its season report. The region’s establishments recorded average revenues of €91.7 per occupied room and €59.8 per available room (RevPar), an increase of 47% compared to 2019 and more than 5% compared to last year.

This growth consolidates the positive performance of Galician tourism, which maintains stable occupancy and higher profitability per room, driven both by improved management and modernization of the offer and by the progressive adaptation of prices to the current economic context.

  • Revenue and Stability

Turismo de Galicia estimates that Galician hotels as a whole generated more than €148 million in revenue this summer, representing an increase of 6.6% in nominal terms and 4.1% in real terms, after adjusting for inflation.

Stable demand, combined with moderate increases in average rates, led to improved profitability without major variations in occupancy, which barely increased by 0.7%. This performance reflects a more balanced tourism model, less dependent on seasonal peaks and with greater added value per stay.
