Coinciding with the celebration of its thirtieth anniversary, the Lisbon Tourism Fair, BTL, will be held from 28 February to 4 March at FIL’s facilities, in the Parque de las Naciones, in the Portuguese capital, thus maintaining the change of date that took place last year, as a result of a joint and unanimous decision by the BTL organization and its Strategic Council, in consultation with partners and relevant stakeholders from the following countries.

BTL 2017 received a total of 78,001 visitors, which reflects an increase of 3% compared to the data for the 2016 event. Specifically, during the first three days, 37,888 professionals established new businesses and agreements, which represents an increase of 5% compared to last year. Already, during the weekend dedicated to the general public, 40,113 visitors took advantage of exclusive promotions and discounts on BTL, which represents an increase of 2% compared to 2016, results that reflected the good timing of the Portuguese tourism sector. In addition, Hosted Buyers’ program had more than 400 participations of international buyers from 30 markets that held more than 5,000 meetings, between the pre-programmed and the platform, with companies present in BTL.
