Santiago de Compostela will host on April 25 an open day and free to bring the sector the possibilities of improving energy efficiency through geothermal. The event is the result of the collaboration of the Galician Tourism Cluster and ACLUXEGA and also has the participation of Energylab and the support of INEGA. The day was born from the conviction that the tourism sector still has ample room for improvement in terms of energy efficiency to meet one of the rest of the Tourism Strategy Galicia 2020, which sets as an objective the sustainability of tourism infrastructure.
With this conference, aimed at professionals in the sector, businessmen, directors, heads of maintenance …. is intended to raise awareness and demonstrate good practices in this area, promote energy saving and efficiency measures, disseminate tools to facilitate the implementation of improvements and sensitize the Galician tourism business of the importance of improving the carbon footprint with actions that also optimize business costs.
The conference will take place in the City of Culture and will focus on two aspects of interest: profitability versus energy efficiency and answer the question of what geothermal energy is and how it would be applied, with the explanation of specific cases and unique hotel buildings among them, helping to raise awareness of geothermal energy and its possibilities for savings, efficiency and sustainability for the Galician tourism sector. Registration is now open and attendance is free until full capacity is reached.
