Galicia and northern Portugal reinforce their tourism cooperation with cross-border working groups

  • They will take place on February 26 in Portugal and February 27 in Galicia.

On February 26 and 27, workshops will be held with businessmen from Galicia and Northern Portugal to advance the Euroregion as a tourist destination. This activity, which is carried out within the framework of the POCTEP ClusterTur_GNP project, is promoted by the EGTC of the Galicia – Northern Portugal Eurorexion, with the technical assistance and collaboration of the Galician Tourism Cluster. ClusterTur_GNP is a joint project between the EGTC of the Eurorexión Galicia – Norte de Portugal, Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal, ATP and Turismo de Galicia.

The sessions will be held in two strategic locations, one in Portugal and the other in Galicia, in order to facilitate the participation of companies from both sides of the border:

  • Wednesday, February 26 – Hotel do Minho, in Vila Meã (Portugal).
  • Thursday, February 27 – Terras Gauda Winery, in Galicia (Spain).

Each day will include two work tables, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. In addition, with each of them, a networking lunch will also be held, designed to encourage the exchange of ideas and the establishment of synergies between participants.

At each meeting, attendees will be able to debate the main challenges and opportunities facing tourism in the Euroregion, from the joint promotion of destinations to sustainability and innovation in tourism services. This initiative is part of the process of diagnosing cross-border tourism, which is essential for defining the strategy of the Galicia – Northern Portugal Cross-Border Tourism Cluster.

Participation in the working groups is free, although places are limited to 20 entities per meeting (10 Galician and 10 Portuguese companies). To facilitate work dynamics, only one person per entity may attend. Those interested in participating must register through the enabled form, indicating the company or entity they represent and selecting the session in which they wish to participate.
