Galicia receives the award for the best institutional stand at Fitur 2024

  • The spaces in Madrid and Andalusia were also awarded in this category.

The Galician exhibitor at Fitur 2024, under the motto “Galicia é auga”, has been awarded as the best ‘stand’ in the category of institutions and Autonomous Communities, a recognition granted for its quality, originality and its powerful visual impact. This award was presented in Madrid, also highlighting the operability and attention offered in the Galician space, as well as the promotional material used. Along with Galicia, the stands in Madrid and Andalusia were also awarded in this category.

The Galician exhibitor’s concept revolved around water as a key element of nature, showing the importance of this resource in its tourist offer, which includes the sea, rivers, springs, waterfalls, fountains, rain and thermal tourism. In this way, Galicia projected its image as a unique destination, with a focus on quality and sustainable tourism.

The ‘stand’ was designed as a scenic space, using recycled and local materials, betting on local crafts, such as fishing nets and traditional ropes. The Redeiras de Corme, who were present at Fitur, performed live demonstrations using recycled materials from fishing gear.

The exhibitor also had modules dedicated to different segments of the Galician tourism offer, such as the Camino de Santiago, Thermal Tourism, Nautical Tourism and Active Tourism, in addition to references to the four provinces and the seven main cities of Galicia. Likewise, establishments with the Q for quality and the S for sustainability, and products from the Galician Tourism Cluster, were highlighted.

To complete the experience, tastings of food and wine products from the region were offered, with the collaboration of professionals from the sector and the staff of the Higher Hospitality Center of Galicia, consolidating Galicia as an attractive and sustainable destination in the national and international tourism panorama.
