This initiative, approved during the weekly meeting of the Galician Executive last Thursday, December 28, is part of the Galician Territorial Food and Wine Plan. The aid is broken down into three lines of action:
The first, with a budget of more than 2.6 million euros, will seek to promote the adaptation and aesthetic improvement of tourist establishments that are linked to a winery and/or part of its vineyards.
The second category, endowed with 590,000 euros, will support digital projects initiated by tourist accommodation and restaurant establishments that highlight wine and gastronomic products, thus promoting visits.
The third line, with an allocation of 2.3 million euros, will finance the expansion and improvement of accommodation capacity that involves the creation of new accommodation places, with respect to those registered in the Registry of Tourist Companies and Activities (REAT). , and that are linked to the realization of food and wine experiences.
These experiences must include, at a minimum, a product with a protected designation of origin from Galicia, a protected geographical indication from Galicia or the Viños da Terra certification. The aid granting process will be carried out through a non-competitive competition system.
