Galician tourism gets the best November in 11 years after improving in all ratios of hotel demand

With very little time left to finish the year we know the INE data on hotel occupancy in November, which is consolidated as an excellent month for the Galician tourism sector, improving in all its ratios. Thus, it improved in six points the occupancy, which almost reaches half a million nights, but also did the average stay, 8.6%, the highest figure in seven years, while increasing the profitability of companies, consolidating an excellent autumn for the sector.

In total, the number of hotel nights in Galicia bordered on 500,000 in November, made by 235,000 travelers, representing the second highest figure of this decade. By segments highlights the advance of international tourism, with 26% more foreign demand in hotels, and the domestic market, which rose 9% over the same period last year. The most notable increase occurred again in Ourense, which marked a rise of more than 10%, thus also strengthening inland tourism.

Average occupancy levels rose more than 2 points and up to 3.6 in the case of weekends and profitability the sector marked the highest value of the decade with an increase in hotel rates by 3.2%, thus advancing in the model of quality and diversification proposed by public administration and sector.
