The first tourism products designed to form part of the club will be launched in the near future.
The companies that join before the end of September will be eligible for the sponsorship programme that will distribute 300,000 euros in aid.
The Galicia Destino Sostible Product Club continues to grow and has just incorporated four more companies, bringing to more than thirty the number of members of this initiative promoted by the Galicia Tourism Cluster with the collaboration of the Xunta de Galicia. At the meeting of the evaluation committee held on Friday 16 September, it was agreed to accept the membership applications submitted by the heads of Viajes Embajador, Compostela Campers, Camping Isla de Onsand Naviera Nabia (Naviera Illa de Ons S.L.).
The four of them thus join an increasingly large group of companies in which the travel agency, catering, accommodation and complementary tourism sectors are represented. And having joined before the end of September, all of them are eligible for the sponsorship programme with which the Xunta will distribute more than 300,000 euros for the design and launch of new tourism products. In fact, the first proposals drawn up within the framework of this programme will be published in the near future and will be available on the Galicia Destino Sostible website.
The sponsorship programme foresees the distribution of grants to 15 wholesale travel agencies, 28 retail travel agencies and 50 accommodation, restaurant and complementary tourism companies for an amount of 3,000, 2,000 and 1,300 euros per product, respectively. The grants will be awarded in order of application once the evaluation committee certifies that they meet the requirements.
