The association has organised for the 24th the third “Gastronomic and Cultural Meeting …And to eat, Lugo on the Way”.

 

A series of tastings in five localities of the province complete the programme of activities.

 

The best flavours of the Way and the cultural background of the Jacobean tradition come together in the third edition of the Gastronomic and Cultural Meeting …And to eat, Lugo on the Camino, which organizes the Provincial Association of Hospitality and Tourism Businessmen of Lugo (Apehl) for Monday, October 24, with the support of the Xunta de Galicia through O Teu Xacobeo program.

 

The activities will take place in the Interactive Museum of the History of Lugo and the programme includes the presentation of the video Lugo, gateway to Santiago de Compostela of all the Ways and an advertising campaign on recycling. Next, the chefs Nardo Eiroa, from the Canedo restaurant, Diego López, from the Bulló Xantar restaurant, Alejandro Méndez, from Os Cachivaches, and Pablo Vila, from the Oca Hoteles chain, will carry out gastronomic demonstrations with local products from the Protected Geographical Indications and Designations of Origin with which Apehl collaborates. In the afternoon, the training manager of Café Candelas, José Manuel Portelas, will be in charge of the demonstration and tasting Coffee of the Ways to Compostela, and children between the ages of 6 and 12 will be able to participate in a workshop and take a virtual journey along the Way of St. James.

This third Encounter also includes a series of tastings in five localities of the province given by the Galician Wine Institute, which already began on Tuesday 18 in Samos. Barreiros, on Tuesday 25th, and Palas de Rei, on Wednesday 26th, are the last two appointments of this programme.
