With the aim of promoting the cultural and historical heritage of the Galician sea, Combarro will host from June 29 to July 2 the XIII Meeting of Traditional Vessels of Galicia, a unique opportunity to see much of the typologies of traditional boat fleet of the community in which about 100 thousand visitors will meet, according to the municipal estimates.
The meeting will concentrate in Combarro about 150 traditional boats including dornas, buckets, racus or schooners, to name a few, which will be exhibited for the enjoyment of the visiting public, since they include cruises, also for people with functional diversity, such as indicated by the organizing foundation of the event, the Galician Federation for the Maritime and Fluvial Culture Culturmar, which has had the support of the Xunta de Galicia.
At the same time, in the port areas and public squares, various cultural and leisure activities will be developed for all participants and visitors, such as exhibitions, workshops, artistic shows and musical performances during the four days of the Meeting, all linked to the sea , the ethnography and the Galician maritime heritage.
