The campaign ‘Leave a mark on the soul and not on the Earth’, launched by the Galician Tourism Cluster to promote the tourist brand ‘Galicia Sustainable Destination’, ends with more than 16M impressions and more than 100,000 clicks, with a focused strategy in the regions of Spain, Galicia and Portugal.
Under the claim ‘Leave a mark on the soul and not on the Earth’, this promotional action promoted the sustainable facet of the tourism brand, listing various sustainable activities and experiences that visitors can enjoy on our land. With the aim of highlighting the committed and sustainable character of Galicia, the action was encompassed in four basic pillars that a conscious tourist can find when they opt for experiences with the ‘Galicia Sustainable Destination’ seal: traditional professions, activities and experiences, material heritage and intangible, and Galician products and traditions.
As part of this campaign, carried out from July to November 2024, an audiovisual piece was made that highlights the sustainable nature of GDS and all the possibilities offered by the tourism brand; A landing page was created that accompanied all the campaign actions; A paid media strategy was carried out on Google and Social Ads, and up to 22 raffles were organized with experiences from the establishments affiliated with the tourist brand.
In addition to all of the above, two actions were also developed with the influencers Un Salto a Galicia (María Rubio) and Angi Baldrich. Both were able to enjoy some of the GDS experiences, experiencing first-hand what it means to enjoy conscious tourism. On the one hand, Angi Baldrich enjoyed an afternoon discovering the history of the shellfish harvesters of the Costa da Morte, while María Rubio spent an afternoon among D.O. Rías Baixas.
