  • The conference, which took place on November 19, revealed relevant information for decision-making by accommodation establishments in Galicia.

Last week, the Galician Tourism Cluster held an informative day with information of great relevance for the decision-making of all those accommodation establishments in Galicia, aimed at owners and managers of these companies.

 

The president of the Cluster, Cesáreo Pardal, spoke at the opening of the meeting, highlighting the importance of training and the constant updating of knowledge and rights for the sector, as one of the key objectives of the entity.

 

The first part focused on the “Booking” Resolution. The Galician Competition Commission addressed the main aspects for free competition in the Galician tourism sector, delving into the file that the CNMC considered accredited the commission of two single and continuous infringements of article 2 of the LDC and 102 of the TFEU by Booking.com, consisting of an abuse of the domain position of an exploitative type, and another abuse of a domain position of an exclusionary type.

 

In the second part, the Cluster presented the Accommodation Establishment Data Monitoring and Analysis System (SIMADA), a system that allows comparison of occupancy data with respect to the destination or similar companies in the destination, prices, evolution, etc
