The Galician Tourism Agency has announced a new call for applications for subsidies aimed at improving the landscape and environmental integration of tourist establishments located in coastal municipalities. The objective of this aid is to support actions that contribute to preserving the image of the Galician coastline, mitigating landscape impacts, and promoting more sustainable tourism.
The grants are aimed at both tourist accommodations (hotels, campsites, tourist houses and apartments, hostels, and vacation rentals) and food service businesses (restaurants, bars, and cafes). The call for proposals includes three main areas of focus: improving energy efficiency, digitizing tourist resources, and renovating facades and roofs.
Eligible expenses range from upgrading lighting systems to reduce electricity consumption to creating digital tools or QR codes that provide information to visitors. Support will also be provided for cladding and painting facades, renovating windows and doors, and improving roofs and exterior walls, all with the goal of reducing visual impact and better integrating businesses into their surroundings.
The maximum eligible investment varies depending on the project category: up to €25,000 for energy efficiency improvements, €15,000 for digitalization, and €250,000 for facade improvements, with the grant covering up to 80% of the total project cost.
Applications must be submitted electronically through the Xunta de Galicia’s online portal, using procedure code TU503F, and will be accepted until November 12, 2025.
