Conclusions on the participation in Turexpo Galicia 2025

  • This year’s edition attracted 112,000 visitors, a 32% increase compared to last year.

The Galician Tourism Cluster was once again present at the Turexpo tourism fair, held within the framework of the Galician Green Week International Fair, held at the Silleda fairgrounds from February 5 to 8, 2025.

It participated in the event with its own stand. This exhibition space featured a permanent display of promotional images of Galicia as a sustainable and family-friendly tourist destination on a large television screen, interspersed with actions developed by the Cluster as part of its intensive promotional work for the Galician community and its attractions.

The trade fair served as a showcase for the possibilities Galicia offers as a tourist destination, as well as an information point for promoting initiatives led by the Galician Tourism Cluster, uniting the efforts of the various members of the sector in areas such as family tourism and sustainable tourism.

During the four days of the fair, the Galician Tourism Cluster stand was therefore a reference point for tourism professionals from the Galician community and other regions of Spain and Portugal, as well as for visitors and potential tourists who came to learn about the many possibilities the region offers as a destination through the most representative private tourism entity in Galicia.

The Galicia Sustainable Destination product club actively participated. Within the framework of the event, the club was present at the Tourism Contracting Exchange, where it held professional meetings with 13 travel agencies from various markets, both national and international, including companies from Germany, the United States, Serbia, Ireland, and Portugal. The agencies contacted showed considerable interest in the sustainable tourism model promoted by the club. These companies have diverse client profiles, including those specializing in small groups, high-net-worth travelers, families, and individuals with a strong interest in cultural and nature tourism. Sustainability has established itself as a key added value when choosing Galicia as a destination, in line with the growing international trend toward authentic, responsible, and territorially respectful experiences.
