Accommodation companies joining the Accommodation Data Monitoring and Analysis System (SIMADA) have already expressed their satisfaction with the results this tool offers. Access to reliable and up-to-date information on occupancy, prices, and sales channels is helping companies optimize their commercial strategies, adjust prices more accurately, and improve their competitiveness in the market.
SIMADA, launched by the Galician Tourism Cluster with funding from the Galician Tourism Agency and presented at Fitur 2025, is a free, simple, and secure platform that allows accommodations to access essential data in real time. Its operation is based on consulting the establishments’ own management systems, complemented by web scraping data from relevant tourism marketing sites and statistical information from the INE (National Institute of Statistics and Census) or AENA (Aena), always under confidentiality criteria.
Thanks to this tool, accommodation companies can anticipate market trends, make more informed decisions regarding opening, contracting, and pricing, and adapt their offerings based on actual and projected demand.
The greater the number of companies participating in the system, the higher the quality of the data obtained. Complete the following registration form to join SIMADA. For more information or to answer any questions, interested companies can contact the Galician Tourism Cluster at secretariatecnica@clusterturismogalicia.com or by phone at 881 247 436.
Forecast Reports
In addition to the benefits the tool provides for member companies, the Galician Tourism Cluster uses SIMADA to analyze booking portfolios and occupancy balances during key periods, as was the case this past Easter, and will continue to use it to monitor demand trends during key long weekends, summer campaigns, and other strategic dates.
Specifically, the first data for this upcoming May long weekend is now available. According to the data collected, booking rates for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights were 53%, 56%, and 55% respectively, dropping to 21% on Sunday. The average stay is around three nights, with average prices reaching €80 on Friday and Saturday, dropping to €64 on Sunday, and starting at €74 on Thursday. Regarding the origin of visitors, 29% of confirmed reservations are from foreign tourists, a percentage that is expected to increase, given that the origin of the remaining 24% is still unknown. It is also worth noting the importance of international markets such as Portugal and North America.
