The natural and cultural offer of Green Spain stands out as a tourist alternative

  • The tourist destination made up of Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria and Euskadi has received a 17% increase in the number of visitors.

Green Spain, the tourist destination that brings together Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria and Euskadi, has received nearly 17 million visitors in the last year, an increase of 17% compared to the previous year. This growth reinforces the relevance of a proposal that stands out for its cultural, landscape and gastronomic richness, differentiating itself from the options in the south and the Spanish Mediterranean.

During a presentation in Porto aimed at the Portuguese public, the unique character of Green Spain as a tourist alternative was highlighted. In addition to attracting visitors from European countries, such as the United Kingdom, its appeal has reached further afield, such as North America and Asia.

Two major tourist hubs

Among the main tourism products of Green Spain, the Great Itinerary and the Ecotourism Corridor stand out. The first allows you to visit emblematic places, offering an experience rich in culture, history and landscapes. The Ecotourism Corridor, for its part, structures the Cantabrian coast through 26 protected natural spaces. This project is positioned as the largest in Europe in its category, promoting environmentally friendly tourism and the sustainable development of local communities.

Beyond nature

España Verde also supports activities such as golf, surfing, bird watching and thermal baths. Without forgetting its most iconic and internationally recognized product: the Camino de Santiago del Norte, which combines spirituality, history and a unique environment.

With these proposals, España Verde consolidates itself as a destination capable of offering original experiences that combine culture, nature and gastronomy, and continues to attract a growing number of visitors from all over the world.
