Tourism in Galicia continues to rise. So far this year, until the month of September, our Community has registered more than 5.7 million travelers staying and more than 11 million nights, both in hotel establishments (hotels and pensions) and non-hotel establishments (apartments, campsites, hostels and rural tourism houses). This figure represents an increase of 6.4% in the number of travelers staying, and 6.1% in the case of nights.
These figures are supported by the data recorded in the month of September, in which the number of travelers increased by 21% in non-hotel establishments alone. To this we must add the data on hotels and guesthouses, resulting in a month with more than 865,000 travelers. This represents an increase of 9% in all establishments this month alone.
Regarding occupancy in tourist apartments, Galicia received 27,529 travelers in September and registered 82,186 overnight stays, with an average stay of 2.99 days.
