Last week, the Board of Directors of the Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies (CEAV) appointed Juan A. Rivadulla as general secretary. Rivadulla, who has chaired the Galician Association of Travel Agencies (AGAVI) since 2016, is a member of the Executive Council of the Tourism Cluster of Galicia, as well as the Tourism Council of Galicia, and the Tourism Councils of Lugo and Santiago.
Rivadulla replaces Jorge Moncada, who was recently nominated general director of Tourism and Hospitality of the Government of Aragon. The Cluster conveys its congratulations to Juan A. Rivadulla, who until now held a vice presidency at CEAV.
After his appointment, Rivadulla noted that “it is an honor to take charge of the general secretary of the confederation and do my part. I am a firm defender of associations and from here we fight for travel agencies in all areas. This would not be possible without the union and work of everyone.”
About CEAV
CEAV is the Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies. As the unifier of travel agency associations, it is the valid interlocutor before the administration and other entities. Among its main functions are defending the interests of its members, promoting and achieving the development of the sector and promoting relations between the different actors in the tourism sector.
It was established in 2005 and, after an integration process in 2011, it managed to bring together practically all of the Spanish travel agency associations. Currently, it brings together 28 business associations in which more than 4,000 travel agencies with nearly 60,000 professionals are integrated. The Association is chaired by Carlos Garrido.
