• The three airports mobilized up to the month of July 24% more passengers

The Galician terminals significantly improved the numbers of visitors with respect to the same period in the previous year. Galician airports mobilized a total of 3,365,983 travelers (655,573 more), which corresponds to 24% more than those who passed through their facilities during the first seven months of 2022.

By airports, the most used was Santiago-Rosalía de Castro, which received 2,005,518 passengers, 14.9% more than in 2022 and 21.4% more than in the last pre-pandemic year, 2019.

The one in A Coruña was the second with the highest number of visitors, accumulating 716,894 passengers, 48% more than the previous year; while 643,571 people passed through Peinador, 33.8% more.

According to the latest balance sheet published by Aena, the Rosalía de Castro airport remains the fastest growing airport in Spain, handling more than 2 million passengers per year.

In the month of July alone, 626,983 passengers arrived by plane in Galicia, nearly 70,000 more than those registered in the seventh month of the previous year, 12.4% more.

The figures at the state level also improved: the Aena network registered 159.2 million passengers, which represents an increase of 20.6% compared to the figures for 2022, and 1.2% to 2019.
