The Galicia Tourism Cluster promoted nearly 700 meetings between galician companies and operators from Malaga and Madrid

  • Around 30 Galician companies participated this week in two workshops in both cities to promote the Galicia destination
  • The meetings, organized by the Cluster in collaboration with Turismo de Galicia, brought together a total of 145 local agents

The two Workshops, organized last week in Malaga and Madrid by the Galician Tourism Cluster, in collaboration with Galician Tourism, made possible more than 700 meetings between 28 Galician companies and the 145 operators from both cities. A very positive balance for these two actions to promote the Galician destination.

The president of the Galician Tourism Cluster, Cesáreo Pardal, highlighted in these meetings the immense natural and cultural heritage of the community on which “we make up a very varied tourist offer, under the premise of sustainability from all its areas” and we offer “experiences Far from the crowds that allows the traveler to imbue the spirit of the places they visit.”

In addition, Cesáreo Pardal valued the work of professionals in the sector “who strive every day so that each person who comes to Galicia returns home with an experience to remember and with the desire to return because there is not just one Galicia, there is many. We are a land of contrasts in which each visit will be experienced in a different way.”

Precisely on this idea the motto of these promotional days is built, ‘Galicia, you will dream of returning’. In addition to Turismo de Galicia and Turismo de Sanxenxo, 28 local companies from the Galician tourism sector participated in the activities: the Cruces Inn Hostel, Amextreme Kayak, Mondariz Spa, Bodegas Terra Gauda, Celtravel, Circuítos Galicia, Expourense – Fundación ferias y Ourense exhibitions, Galiwonders, Hotel Talaso Atlántico, Gran Talaso Hotel Sanxenxo, Hotel Carlos I Silgar, Hotel Castro, Hotel Nanín, Hotel San Lorenzo, Hotel Villa Covelo, NH Hotels, Oca Hotels, Pazo los Escudos Hotel & Spa Resort, Pilgrim, Proguías, Sailway, Termas de Cuntis, Viajes InterRías, Vio Viajes, WE Galicia and Zenit Hotels.

In Malaga, Galician companies maintained contact with 75 operators in the area, a figure similar to that of Madrid with 70 local operators. In both days the destination Galicia was presented with the projection of a promotional video. In Madrid, the meeting included the intervention of the president of the Board of Tourism of Spain, Juan Molas, and the general director of Turespaña, Ángel Sanz. A raffle for stays in Galicia to reward the participation of local agents and a tasting cocktail closed both meetings.
