14 companies from A Coruña opt for the SICTED tourism quality seal

  • Of the 47 entities that applied to the process in this initial period, 14 received positive evaluations.
  • The A Coruña Tourism Quality Board, promoted by the A Coruña Tourism and Congress Consortium, has already been set up and met for the first time.

 

There are 14 tourist companies and establishments in A Coruña that opt ​​for the SICTED tourism quality seal (Integral System of Tourist Quality in Destination). This distinctive certifies compliance with the requirements established in the methodology and recognizes the effort and commitment to quality and continuous improvement, distinguishing the tourist service from the competition. Of the 47 entities that applied to the process in this initial selection period, launched half a year ago through the A Coruña Tourism and Congress Consortium, 14 received a positive evaluation.

 

The A Coruña Tourism Quality Board was established last Friday, May 5, holding its first meeting that same day. On this day they evaluated the different candidacies that choose to receive the SICTED seal in the next Interdestination Committee, which will be held on June 15 in Madrid.

 

The table is made up of the president, Juan Ignacio Borrego, Councilor for Tourism of A Coruña; Héctor Cañete, president of the A Coruña Hotel and Catering Association; Agustín Collazos, president of Hospeco; José Blanco, president of the A Coruña Convention Bureau; Eduardo Guillén, professor at the University of A Coruña; and Moisés Jorge Naranjo, manager of the Consortium of Tourism and Congresses of A Coruña.

 

In the category of Hotels and Tourist Apartments, the companies that passed these initial tests are the Hotel Attica21 and the Hotel Riazor, while in the category of Visitable Museums and Centers of Tourist Interest, the Interpretation and Visitor Service Center – Office of Tourism, Mega Mundo Estrella Galicia, A Coruña Scientific Museums and the Tower of Hercules.

 

In the Restaurants and Catering Companies section, there is the Ecletic Restaurant (recently incorporated into the Galicia Sustainable Destination Product Club); in the field of Spaces for tourism and meeting there is EXPOCoruña; in the Convention Bureaux area, A Coruña Convention Bureau; in the modality of Tourist Experiences and Workshops, Pencil&Fork stood out; in Cruise and Ferry Docking, Rubine and Sons; in the chapter of Travel Agencies, Viajes Embajador; and finally in the area of ​​OPCs, Global Azaga.
