The Cluster participated in the delivery of SICTED distinctions of GDR Condado Paradanta and in the gala of Feprohos, Asehospo and Avipo.
The recognitions for the tourism sector of the province of Pontevedra continue. If last Friday 10 was the Provincial Council of Pontevedra which held a new edition of the Provincial Tourism Gala, on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 were the GDR Condado Paradanta and the Provincial Federation of Hospitality Entrepreneurs (Feprohos), the Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of Pontevedra (Asehospo) and the Association of Travel Agencies of Pontevedra (Avipo), respectively, who dressed up to honor the sector. And they did it in both cases with the active participation of the Galicia Tourism Cluster.
A total of 29 companies based in the geodestination Condado Paradanta received their SICTED quality seal during the ceremony held on Monday 13 in the Balneario de Mondariz with the participation of the director of the Galicia Tourism Agency, Nava Castro; the president of the Cluster, Cesáreo Pardal, and the mayors and mayoress of the ten municipalities of the geodestination: Arbo, A Cañiza, As Neves, Crecente, Covelo, Mondariz, Mondariz Balneario, Ponteareas, Salceda de Caselas and Salvaterra de Miño. Cesáreo Pardal took advantage of his speech to highlight the work of the companies in the sector and encourage them to continue working for tourism excellence.
A day later, on Tuesday 14, the Hotel Áttica 21, in Vigo, hosted the gala dinner of tourism and hospitality awards of the province of Pontevedra organized by Feprohos, Asehospo and Avipo with the presence also of the director of Galicia Tourism and the president of the Cluster, and in this case also the president of the Xunta, Alfonso Rueda. The head of the Galician Government was, precisely, in charge of collecting the prize awarded to Xacobeo for its promotion of the Portuguese Way, an award that was presented to him by Cesáreo Sánchez-Ballesteros, president of Feprohos and Asehospo, as well as secretary of the Galicia Tourism Cluster.
Cesáreo Pardal also participated in the awards ceremony and congratulated all the professionals and companies in the province for their efforts and good work. In addition, he advocated “to continue advancing in digitization, sustainability, deseasonalization and internationalization”, stressed the importance of collaboration with the public administration and reaffirmed the commitment of the sector with the territory and local communities, as well as its capacity as a driving force for other activities.
