Participation of the Galician administration and tourism sector in the IBTM World in Barcelona and INTUR in Valladolid

The tourist destination Galicia was present in two of the last specialized sectorial fairs that are celebrated in Spain: IBTM World of Barcelona, specialized in the tourism MICE and INTUR Valladolid, oriented to the rural, sports and interior tourism. The Galician tourist offer was present in both of them through companies, entities and the Xunta de Galicia.

Thus, in the field of business tourism, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism participated in the IBTM with an agenda of contacts with tour operators in the sector and sharing space with exhibitors within the stand of Turespaña. These co-exhibitors were Santiago de Compostela Convention Bureau, Turismo de A Coruña, Abramar DMC, Galicia Meetings & Incentives and Clúster Turismo de Galicia, which is held in Barcelona. On this occasion, attended with an agenda of 35 meetings with operators, agents and corporations from around the world.

In addition, the Galician tourist offer and the Camino de Santiago were also in the XXIII edition of the INTUR fair in Valladolid, a professional competition focused on the interior offer that is also open to the public and is one of the tourism fairs with the greatest impact in Spain. In this fair Turismo de Galicia had a design enclosure of 100 square meters from which spreads the Galician offer, the Xacobeo 2021, the Camino de Santiago and experiences related to nature which also held professional meetings with industry agents who were present at the fair, in addition to the meetings that were held in the recruitment of Intur Business, where companies associated with the Galician Tourism Cluster held meetings of interest to deepen the marketing of this offer. In its previous edition participated 310 direct exhibitors and, according to data from the organization, the fair was visited by 63,140 people, of which 17,440 were professionals.
