Celtic Spain Golf&Wellness is born to attract the British golf lover to Galicia

Promoted by the private sector with the support of Turismo de Galicia, the initiative aims to make Galicia known as an ideal destination for the practice of sports golf combined with the enjoyment of the thermal offer.

The headquarters of the Aeroclub de Santiago de Compostela hosted this morning the presentation of the Celtic Spain Golf&Wellness project, promoted by the private sector in collaboration with Turismo de Galicia to make Galicia known in the British market as the perfect destination to enjoy a combined package of golf, thermalism and gastronomy.

It is a joint initiative promoted by the Association Galicia Golf Destination, Association Spas of Galicia, Oca Hotels and Hotel Carlos I into of the contest of ideas of the Cluster Tourism of Galicia that is developed in two phases. The first has consisted of the development of the corporate image and the packaging of the offer, as well as the launch of the project website: https://galiciagolfsalud.gal/ while a second begins on Sunday 9 September with the presentation of the project at the Casa de Galicia in London.

A group of Galician businessmen linked to the sector will travel there to present Galicia to the prescribers linked to British golf clubs in a joint presentation. Already in October, the project will culminate in this first edition with a reverse mission that will bring British prescribers linked to the practice of sports golf to know first hand the Galician offer.

In addition to bringing together and making better known the offer of golf courses and thermalism that Galicia has, Celtic Galicia Golf&Wellness is completed with the launch of Galicia Golf Pass that will allow users to enjoy the courses associated with Galicia Destino Golf at an exceptional price 365 days a year.

The president of Galicia Destino Golf, Marisa Barandiarán, in charge of explaining the project; Benigno Amor, manager of Balnearios de Galicia, who highlighted the great thermal offer that Galicia possesses and that with initiatives like this one will be able to make the jump towards the captation of international markets like the British one; Ramón Braña, General Director of Oca Hotels and Leonardo López, Director of Hotel Carlos I, as well as Cesáreo Pardal, Secretary of the Galician Tourism Cluster and José Luis Maestro, Director of Galician Tourism Competitiveness, who highlighted the importance of generating synergies between companies and with the public administration for the creation or packaging of the wide range of tourism available in Galicia.
