In this way, two new groups begin at the Álvaro Cunqueiro School of the Provincial Association of Hotel and Catering Entrepreneurs in A Coruña, one at the School of Hotel and Catering in Santiago, another at Monforte in the Alfonso IX Hotel, and a final group at the School of Hotel and Catering in the Provincial Federation of Hotel and Catering Entrepreneurs in Ourense.

A Pioneer Program, called to become a reference

With the aim of improving the linguistic skills of the Galician tourism sector, the Galician Tourism Cluster, with funding from the Galician Tourism Agency, has supported the implementation of this programme, which will represent a significant improvement not only in the marketing of the Galician destination, but also in a significant improvement in the attention to foreign tourists in hotels and tourist accommodation, with the aim of advancing the 2020 Strategy for Galician Tourism.

Companies that receive the Galicia Friendly badge will be included in the Tourist Promotion Guide of the same name, which will be distributed at the main tourism fairs in Europe. The project also has a website http://galiciafriendly.es/, where not only the participating companies can be consulted, but also a file with basic information on where it is located, how to get there and the latest comments they have received.
