The Xunta de Galicia has scheduled a series of events to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the French Way as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This anniversary not only celebrates a cultural milestone, but also reinforces the European spirit and the importance of the French Way in history and contemporary culture.

Throughout the week, different acts and events will be held, such as exhibitions ‘Welcome and Hospitality on the Camino de Santiago’, concerts ‘Codex Calixtinus, Cantigas de Santa María, do king Alfonso X e Música dos trobadores: Meendinho’, presentations of books ‘Jacobean Chronology. An overview of the Compostela pilgrimages’, presentations of the minutes of the ‘XII International Congress of Xacobean Studies’…

The central event of these celebrations will take place on Saturday, and will be attended by authorities and representatives of the Association of Municipalities of the Camino de Santiago, as well as round tables that will address the Camino de Santiago from various perspectives.

Representing the Tourism Cluster, the vice president, Jesús Picallo, will be present.
