The Cluster will participate in the Gastrotur del Ulla with its own stand

  • The event is held from May 17 to 19 in A Estrada.

A Estrada hosts the GastroTur del Ulla fair from May 17 to 19, an event that brings together the gastronomic, tourist and sports offer of the municipalities bathed by the Ulla River. The Galician Tourism Cluster will be there, promoting the Galician tourism offer and initiatives such as Galicia Sustainable Destination or Galicia Family Destination through its own stand.

The activity will begin on Friday the 17th at ten in the morning at the A Estrada Exhibition and Congress Foundation fairgrounds. Starting at noon, there will be a cooking demonstration using products from the Ulla lands. The official opening of the event will be at five in the afternoon, followed by a fly-tying workshop for salmon fishing, led by artisans Paco Porto and Antonio Vilariño. That afternoon the photographic exhibition “Water, fishing and life” by photojournalist Antonio Hernández will also be inaugurated. In addition, outside the venue, there will be an airplane modeling demonstration from Teo’s school.

On Saturday the 18th, the activities will continue with the awards ceremony for the Salmon Fishing Contest at 12:00 p.m., followed by new live cooking workshops with quality products from the area. In the afternoon, a fishing tackle assembly workshop will be held with artisans Eloi Savedra and Santi Minas, as well as a Galician wine tasting. There will also be a model airplane exhibition at the end of the afternoon.

On Sunday the 19th, the fishing fly assembly workshop will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by an exhibition of handmade bamboo rods by Suso Vilar. In the afternoon, there will be a cooking show with products from the Terras do Ulla and another airplane modeling demonstration with Teo’s school.
