Galicia has concluded its presence at BTL – Lisbon Tourism Exchange 2025, consolidating its position as a leading destination for the Portuguese and international public. For five days, the Galician Tourism stand became a strategic promotional point, bringing Galician tourism to professionals and visitors, with a focus on sustainability, authenticity, and the traveler experience.

The event, now in its 35th edition, brought together more than 1,500 exhibitors and 85 international destinations, providing a key platform for establishing new business connections. Along these lines, the Galician Tourism Cluster, through invitations provided by the Galician Tourism Agency, facilitated the participation of eight Galician inbound travel agencies (Circuitos Galicia, Galiwonders, EasyGalicia, CnTravel, Tee Travel, Pilgrim, Santiago Gate – Viajes Ría del Burgo and Bluscus Turismo Marinero), which took advantage of the opportunity to strengthen their relationships with tour operators and industry players.

In addition to the B2B meetings organized by the Hosted Buyers Exchange, Galicia also participated in strategic events, such as the presentation of Asicotur’s 2024 activity, where the Cluster’s president, Cesáreo Pardal, attended alongside representatives from Turismo do Porto e Norte (Port and North Tourism), and authorities from Mozambique, Chile, Guinea-Bissau, and the Azores-Madeira region.

Portugal remains the main source market for tourists to Galicia, with 8% growth in 2024. Its impact on the deseasonalization of tourism is key, as many of these travelers visit the region during the mid- and low-season. Furthermore, the Camino de Santiago continues to be a key attraction, with more than 21,900 Portuguese pilgrims accredited last year.

With this participation in BTL Lisbon 2025, Galicia strengthens its internationalization strategy, consolidating its image as a sustainable, authentic destination with a diversified offering that continues to capture the interest of the Portuguese and international markets.
