A total of 34 establishments and tourist services in the GDR Terras de Compostela received the SICTED seal at a ceremony held at the Hotel Congreso in Teo. The diploma presentation was attended by the president of the Galician Tourism Cluster, Cesáreo Pardal, along with the director of the Galician Tourism Agency, Xosé Manuel Merelles, the president of the Terras de Compostela Regional Government (RDG), Guarina Rey, and the mayor of Teo, Lucía Calvo.
The initiative, promoted by the Terras de Compostela Regional Government (GDR) since 2019, seeks to consolidate the region as a benchmark for sustainable, quality tourism, offering professional services committed to continuous improvement. With these new additions, nearly seventy establishments are now certified.
During the event, Cesáreo Pardal underscored the sector’s commitment to quality and excellence in tourism, while Xosé Manuel Merelles praised the role of quality as a key tool for differentiating Galicia in an increasingly demanding tourism context.
Guarina Rey, for her part, recalled that Terras de Compostela was the first rural development group in the province of A Coruña to promote the SICTED program and highlighted the value of this certification as a symbol of trust for visitors and residents.
