In less than fifteen days, Galicians have exhausted the 16,000 tourist vouchers offered by the Xunta de Galicia within the #DiscoverGaliciaEnOutono initiative. Since its launch, interest has been notable, with downloads at a rate of one hundred bonuses per minute in the first hours. This initiative, which allows beneficiaries to enjoy stays in Galicia from September 10 to December 25, 2024, both included, seeks to promote tourism outside of the high season.

The vouchers, presented in QR code format, have a value of 150 euros, financed 40% by the Xunta de Galicia and the remaining 60% by individuals, who contribute 90 euros. In this edition, users were able to download up to two vouchers, allowing them to have up to 300 euros to enjoy their stay in one of the participating establishments.

This initiative, which emerged during the pandemic to revitalize the tourism sector and provide liquidity to Galician companies, is consolidating itself as an effective strategy to stimulate tourist activity outside of the high season. Tourist vouchers not only boost consumption in the sector, but also support local businesses by distributing the influence of visitors more evenly throughout the year.

Adhesion of tourist establishments and companies

The period for companies to join this campaign remains open until December 2, 2024. To date, more than 350 establishments, including accommodations and travel agencies, have joined this initiative.
