Galician MICE tourism made its meeting tourism offer known to the national associative fabric within the framework of the Global MICE Forum. This associative initiative brings together the supply and demand of Congresses and Meetings of the national associations. This is the third edition of this pioneering meeting, which has previously visited the cities of Seville and Zaragoza.
From July 4 to 6, the Hotel Eurostars Gran Hotel La Toja hosted one-to-one meetings, round tables with the main stakeholders of the sector and informative meetings. The initiative was aimed at suppliers specialized in Congresses throughout Spain, from Convention Bureaux to Congress Palaces, auditoriums, hotels with large-capacity convention centers and providers of complementary services for congresses.
In total, 30 national congress prescribers and 42 national congress suppliers participated. The Tourism Cluster offered discounts on the participation fee in the Iberian MICE Forum with the aim of promoting the participation of Galician companies in the event. Viajes Abramar, Trevisani and the Association of Conference Centers of Galicia were the three that finally participated in the event. In addition, among the suppliers were also A Coruña Convention Bureau, Hotel & Talaso Louxo La Toja, Palexco, Ourense Genuina, Mar de Vigo and Eurostarts Hotels.
Galician companies valued the tourist offer for congresses and meetings. In total, more than 20 meetings were held with the aim of generating new professional relationships and acquiring new contacts, offering a real business opportunity. They met with foundations, association boards and medical and scientific societies, exporters, groups and representatives of other sectors that organize congresses at the national level, who participated in the event as hosted buyers of the most important national destinations.
