Expourense celebrated World Quality Day by presenting the 6th “Leaders in Quality” Awards

Under the motto “Leading in times of change”, Ourense hosted an event to celebrate World Quality Day 2017, which also hosted the awards of the Leaders in Quality Awards, which reached their seventh edition. The aim of the conference is to sensitize both private companies and public entities of the need to incorporate quality and environmental guidelines into their management models, in order to provide efficient services and achieve customer satisfaction. Expourense commemorated the day with a day in which the awards were given to Galician companies and institutions recognized for being a model to follow in their respective sectors and highlighting their commitment to quality and the environment.
The entities chosen as “Quality Leaders” by the jury in 2017 were
Food Sector: Pescados Rubén S. L. (Lugo).
Social and Health Sector: Valdegodos Foundation (Ourense).
Internationalization: Anfaco-Cecopesca (Pontevedra).
Education Sector: Grupo Academia Postal (Ourense).
Environment and Internationalisation: Televés S. A. (A Coruña).
Award to the trajectory: Business Confederation of Ourense- CIELO.
In addition to these companies, today also recognized the 40 years of trajectory of the Business Confederation of Ourense, CIELO, as an entity that encourages its associates to implement quality and environmental management models in companies. On the other hand, CIELO was the first Spanish business conference to become certified in the environment.
The awards were presented by members of the Expourense Board of Trustees such as the mayor of Ourense, Jesús Vázquez; the territorial delegate of the Xunta de Galicia, Marisol Díaz Mojón; the vice-president of the Diputación de Ourense, Rosendo Fernández; the director of ABANCA in Ourense, Rubén Saavedra and the president of the CIELO; José Manuel Pérez Canal. She also participated in this award to the director of Grupo S4 in Ourense, Pilar Granizo.
