This figure confirms the upward trend in the number of visitors that, year to Year, receives the Rías Baixas Wine Route. Figures that have improved in this last year, with an average of visitors per winery of 1,845.52, almost 300 more than in 2015.

These data are extracted from an annual report of visits to wineries and museums disaggregated by subzones that elaborates the Ruta do Viño Rías Baixas, data that makes the Route good expectations for this 2017. “Until now, the general impression by the wineries associated is that there were more tourists and expect that during the summer the numbers increase much more, “explains the manager, Lorena Varela.

By subzones, Val do Salnés is still the most traveled with 88,298 visits recorded to the 35 associated wineries during 2016, followed by O Rosal, with 6,666 tourists; Condado do Tea with a total of 2,479 people and Ribeira do Ulla with 370 visitors during 2016. The manager of the Rías Baixas Wine Route, Lorena Varela, concludes that these figures “encourage us to continue working to show our wide gastronomic offer to the visitors “.
