After the celebration of its fourth edition in Latin America, Termatalia International Fair of Thermal Tourism, Health and Wellbeing, returns in 2019 to Ourense (Galicia-España) turned into the forum and point of confluence of the agents that work in the development of the thermalism at world-wide level. And as it could not be otherwise, their promoters chose Fitur for the beginning of the international promotion of the fair that will be present in the main world forums of tourism of health. The good results of the business actions of the 2018 edition in Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil, gathering representatives from 34 countries, have contributed to reinforce the main asset of the fair, which is the relational capital it generates and in which are integrated the main sector associations of countries in Europe and Latin America that collaborate and actively participate in it.
In the presentation of Fitur, the organizers of the fair were supported by representatives of the organizations, public and private, that have contributed to position it as a world-wide mark of the thermalism and by professionals of a good part more than thirty of countries that each edition are actively involved with the fair, in addition to the presence of the Deputy Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the Colombian Jaime Alberto Cabal, who highlighted the support of UNWTO to health tourism and, therefore to the fairs that promote it and among which Termatalia stands out worldwide, “an appointment that has served to unite Ibero-America with Europe”.
The 19th edition of this event will be held on 19 and 20 September and will bring together professionals from more than 25 countries. Consolidated its role as a thermal bridge between Europe and Latin America, Termatalia goes one step further and expands its radius of action incorporating the markets of the Near East and Asia Pacific. This means a network of 27 delegations in 55 countries on 4 continents, which contributes to generate new opportunities among the agents integrated in the strategic network of Termatalia, which is highly specialized in this market niche. It is also a proactive network in which new countries such as El Salvador, the most recent of the delegations, join each year.
