Ferrolterra-Rías Altas will continue to deploy its active tourism strategic plan in 2018 with the implementation of more than 15 actions

The roadmap for improving the marketing and implementation of active tourism initiatives in the territory began last year and has an investment of more than 250 thousand euros
With the aim of raising awareness and boosting the tourist offer of the FerrolTerra -Rías Altas geodestio, promoting entrepreneurship and the creation and marketing of active tourism products, the Strategic Plan for Active Tourism of the geodestination continues its development process in 2018 with the implementation of 15 actions outlined in the roadmap launched last year for the articulation of a product that enhances resources, products and services.
With a total investment of almost 250 thousand euros, the project is financed by the Provincial Council of A Coruña, through a line of financing for geodestinations of Tourism of Galicia, and is promoted by the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Region of Ferrol. So, thanks to the contribution of 100.000 euros from the Provincial Council, Geodestino Ferrol Terra – Rías Altas, the first actions were developed: creation of a brand, creation of a website, promotional material, as well as the adhesion of the companies to the tourist product, works for which the consultant in charge of the plan, Avivae, has counted on the collaboration of AGETAN and of multiple companies of active tourism of the geodestination through work tables and individual and collective interviews, visiting each city council.
Actions for 2018
In addition, during the year 2018, an Experiences Networking activity is planned to promote private-private collaboration in which the entities of the sector (rural houses, hotels, restaurants, etc.) will participate.) of the geodestination and will know and experience first hand the activities that can be developed through the active tourism companies, as well as the inclusion of the geodestination in the SICTED, the development of an experiential video, workshop, famtrip and the launch of new active tourism products, among other actions worth more than 155 thousand euros aimed at training and improving the marketing and implementation of initiatives linked to active tourism in Ferrolterra.
