The event, which will take place on 27 November and is part of the lines of the Strategic Plan for Tourism, already has the participation of 25 companies in the province

The Provincial Council of Pontevedra will hold a workshop between companies from the tourism sector in the province of Pontevedra and Catalan firms on the 27th in Barcelona. This initiative is part of the lines of the Strategic Tourism Plan 2017-2020 that seeks to meet the objective of an “intelligent management of the destination, shared among the agents with tourism skills in the field”, as explained by the president during the press conference after the Governing Board.

This is the first edition of an event that will bring together 25 companies from Pontevedra’s tourism sector and a business delegation from Catalonia at the Gran Marina Hotel in Barcelona. During the day, which will begin at 19 hours, will take place dynamic meetings with a view to opening new avenues of business and generate new opportunities for the tourism sector in the province. “In fact we have already closed 85 appointments with Catalan companies to establish these avenues of collaboration with our delegation,” said Silva.

Among the companies in the province that participate we can find hotels, wineries, rural tourism houses, travel agencies, tourism product companies and auxiliary services and entrepreneurs. The quota of inscriptions to participate in this act, in which also collaborates the Cluster of Tourism of Galicia, had to be closed to the three days of its opening by the high demand on the part of the tourist sector pontevedrés.
