As a result of the fires that have affected the subzone of Condado do Tea, where the sporting event is going to be held, the Wine Route Rías Baixas has decided to postpone the call for the second edition of the BTT to be held this Sunday October 22 in Arbo, since the current situation in the area discourages holding a sporting event in the conditions in which the environment is currently.
From the Ruta do Viño Rías Baixas we convey all our solidarity and support to all those affected by this devastating wave of fires. We hope that soon everything will return to normal and that we can continue to enjoy the extraordinary landscape and enogastronomic richness of Galicia,”says the president, Juan Gil de Araujo.
The brutal fires that have ravaged the municipalities of Condado do Tea in recent days have left this subzone in a very delicate situation. For this reason, our non-profit association, and in agreement with the different collaborators of the II BTT Ruta do Viño Rías Baixas, has decided to cancel this appointment and postpone it as support and solidarity with all the territory affected by this catastrophe,”explained the organization.
Since the non-profit association has been working to set a new date for the celebration of this event. The race will take place on Sunday 26 November.
The II BTT Ruta do Viño Rías Baixas already had more than a hundred registered riders, who will be reserved their number for the next event. If they are unable to attend on the new race date, the amount paid for their registration will be refunded “, the organisers state that they deeply regret the possible inconvenience caused.
