The Tourism Cluster of Galicia, through the brand GALICIA DESTINO ACTIVO, seeks to involve all tourism companies in Galicia in their actions for 2018. To this end, the group promoting Galicia Destino Activo will hold a conference on 24 May in the City of Culture with the aim of raising awareness of the brand and the objectives for 2018. The meeting, whose registration period is now open, is aimed at all tourism companies in Galicia to which they will explain the bases of participation for the creation of tourism products to include in the brand Galicia Destino Activo.
This first working meeting has a twofold objective: to provide information, raise awareness of the initiative and the brand, and to establish synergies between the participants, as it will facilitate the creation of heterogeneous working groups, such as an active tourism company, a travel agency, accommodation and a guide. The day will also include time for networking and quick rounds of company presentations to facilitate these first contacts, in order to facilitate the creation of working groups.
These working groups will meet in a subsequent professional meeting where they will be able to create their own tourist products that can be marketed by themselves, but also under the brand Galicia Destino Activo. In addition, steps will be taken to celebrate other activities in the coming months with the ultimate aim of bringing innovative products related to active tourism to tour operators around the world, focusing on those target markets marked by the strategy of Tourism of Galicia.
Galicia Active Destination is the reference brand for the promotion of active tourism in Galicia, which was created in 2015 as a result of the ideas competition of the Galician Tourism Cluster and which has since then been activating the promotion of this discipline in foreign markets. To this end, the Cluster has the technical support of the group promoting Galicia Active Destination, made up of the Galician Association of Active Tourism Companies (AGETAN), a touroperadora CN Travel, the Caldaria group and the Galician Association of Travel Agencies (AGAVI).
